If I'm excited about the buzz, Jesus must be Super Excited!!

Since we started the bible memorization 2 Saturdays ago, I've heard many of the women talk about what they are memorizing, how the particular verse is speaking to them and some even post their verses on facebook.  They've come up to me and quote their scripture.  It has been very encouraging to me and has motivated me in the memorization of my verse.

We are made in His image and in His likeness (Genesis 1:26).  If I get excited about the buzz, I know my Creator, my Heavenly Father is excited.  He made me to have these emotions and to have this motivation so I know He is the author of it. If it's good and edifying and a blessing, it's from God.

This Saturday, the women have committed to have a verse memorized. Today they will choose another verse to memorize for the next 2 weeks.

My verse is Hosea 10:12 - Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until He comes and showers righteousness on you.

For me this is a continued work in progress in my life.  A year ago, after a month fast, He showed me the verse in Hebrews 6:7 - Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop that is useful to those for whom it is farmed, receives the blessing of God. Verse 8 continues, But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed.  In the end it will be burned up.

Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to break up the ground in my life so that it's producing fruit pleasing to God?  Am I soaking up the rain to make my ground fertile for His work to happen in my life?  Or am I complaining and grumbling producing thistles and thorns?

Am I assuming that I am fertile ground?

Today's verse for the next two weeks is a reminder to sow to the Holy Spirit.  To allow Him to make me to be fertile ground and sow to righteousness and to receive His unfailing love. This involves an act of obedience, discipline and pursuit of the Holy Spirit and God's desires AND receiving His unfailing love.  It is twofold -  I have to pursue Him, and I have to receive from Him His love that is deep and wide, high and long.  Sow and reap.
I don't want to be worthless in His Kingdom on earth.

My last verse, Isaiah 55:11 - the Word of God, that comes out of His mouth, will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it.

To God be the glory!
